At the Chicago House of Prayer our vision is simple. We want to see intercessory worship raised up to prepare the spiritual atmosphere for the return of Jesus to the earth. We invite you to join with us. There are multiple ways you can become involved in making this vision a reality.

Prayer Room Team
Thank you for your interesting in becoming a part of a Prayer Room Team. Below we have defined the various roles which make up a complete team and outlined the training requirements for them. If you would like to apply to begin training for one of these positions please fill out the form found below.
Worship Leader
The worship leader, together with the prayer leader, is responsible to lead the team and usher the room into the presence of God. The worship leader chooses songs, begins harp and bowl and determines when to move from one theme to the next.
Prayer Leader
The prayer leader joins the worship team on stage and partners with the worship leader in guiding the set. Through prayer, scripture reading and prophetic declaration the prayer leader brings forth the themes on the Lord’s heart in order that the team may expound on them.
Singer
The singers of a worship team are responsible to support their worship leader in song and their prayer leader in harp and bowl. Through times of spontaneous singing, they respond to and develop the themes brought forth throughout the set.
Musician
The musicians of a worship team form the musical foundation upon which declarations are made and responses are sung. They follow the direction of the worship leader in song, harp and bowl and times of instrumental prophecy.
Intercessor
An intercessor is one who has purposed to sit before the Lord in prayer, seeking out His heart in order to pray His will back to Him. During a worship set intercessors place themselves throughout the room, joining their hearts and voices with those leading worship from the stage and interceding for those things which the prayer leader brings forth.
Training
For each of the positions listed above a three month training period is required. This training may take place at either the Tuesday evening 6:00-8:00 set or the Saturday evening 7:30-9:00 set. During your training you will be placed on a team under the leadership of a Prayer Room Team member. They will guide you as you actively participate with your team and grow in the position you have chosen.
