At the Chicago House of Prayer we seek to have 7-12 singers and musicians on each worship team. Central to our worship model is praying and singing the scriptures using the Apostolic Prayers, the Hymns of Revelation, the Psalms and the Song of Solomon. By training singers, musicians and intercessors to flow in the prophetic anointing in an interactive way we develop antiphonal choirs patterned after those found in Nehemiah 12:24, 31,38,40 and Ezra 3:10-11.
Throughout the week we incorporate four types of sessions: Intercessory Worship sessions, in which we engage in spiritual warfare for revival; Devotional Worship sessions, which provide an anointed atmosphere to sit at the feet of Jesus; Worship with the Word sessions, where we sing the Scriptures as we seek to better understand their depths; and Prophetic Worship sessions, where we purpose to enter into worship as the corporate Bride.
If you are interested in joining a worship team please take a moment to read through the requirements listed below.
To become a member of a ChiHOP worship team we ask that you:
- Embrace the Statement of Faith found on this website under the “About ChiHOP” tab on the homepage.
- Commit to a weekly three to six month training period on a worship team, submitting to the guidance of the worship leader and participating in all team activities.
Attend the Monday night Encountering God service and the Friday night FireWithin session weekly.
We believe immersion in the teachings and lifestyle cultivated at the House of Prayer will result in a unity amongst team members which will fuel the fire of our sessions. As such, we encourage you to attend as many sessions throughout the week as your schedule allows. “Out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks” and we desire that your heart would be full of the revelation of the Lord, that your worship would be as incense to Him.
If you have any questions or comments, or if you would like to pursue worship team involvement please email us at worshipteam@chicagohouseofprayer.org.
“The Lord has chosen you to stand before Him, to serve Him, to be His ministers, and to burn incense.”
